Whole body vibration can be a great tool to help you lose weight. Recent studies have shown that acceleration training offers a 57% improvement in weight loss compared to conventional exercise and nutrition alone.

Vibration training is becoming more and more popular. When you incorporate the use of a whole body vibration machine into your regular health and fitness regimen, you can lose weight. Not only will you experience weight loss, but you will have a faster metabolism, tighter muscles, and a more attractive body. Whole body vibration machines also improve your flexibility, range of motion, and circulation.

When using a whole body vibration machine, your muscles can contract 20-50 times per second based on the Hertz setting of the machine. This contraction causes your body to work harder and burn more calories with basic exercises than you would normally doing floor exercises.

Whole Body vibration will help you build lean mass by performing exercises and various moves to target different regions throughout your body.

See the information below from a study funded by the Artesis University College of Antwerp, Belgium.

“In this study we demonstrated that adding aerobic exercise or whole body vibration (WBV) to a hypocaloric diet can help to maintain weight loss. Moreover, the addition of WBV seems to initiate an even larger loss of visceral adipose tissue (VAT). “

This study shows that combining whole body vibration training with caloric restriction can help to achieve a sustained long-term weight loss of 5–10%. This data shows that WBV training may have the potential to reduce VAT more than aerobic exercise in obese adults, possibly making it a meaningful addition to future weight loss programs.

The latest in fitness is to do your workout in as little amount of time as possible. This seems very sensible. And it would inspire those who don’t exercise now to find that they can exercise 10-15 minutes and get the benefits of a one hour workout. This smart move doesn’t mean you are getting less of a workout. It means you are using your time better. You just need to use the right tools and routines. Circuit training is one way to accomplish more in less time. Circuit training is doing 4-6 different exercises that reach different muscles without any rest time between exercises. Most of these exercises are weight training but you may also do some running in place or jumping jacks in between. Not only do you save time but studies have even shown you get a better workout.

By adding Whole Body Vibration you get even more benefits. Just stand on the vibrating platform and do your compound exercises. The body automatically reacts to the vibrations, making your workout more effective. It produces a stretch reflex, the tonic vibratory reflex, which, depending on the selected frequency, results in muscles gently contracting 6 to 50 times per second. Vibration training is low impact and gentle, enabling anyone, regardless of their age or fitness levels to use it. You can get the benefits of exercise without putting strain on joints or bones in a much shorter amount of time.

Compared with traditional training methods, WBV achieves the same physiologic results of exercise, just at a faster and more efficient rate!

Declines in muscle mass and physical strength are common effects of menopause. The drop in female hormones at menopause, particularly estrogen, doesn’t just increase body fat; it also diminishes the strength and size of muscles. This muscle loss boosts the risk for a separate set of conditions, including insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and traumatic injuries caused by loss of strength and athleticism. So, it’s incredibly important that menopausal women hold on to the muscle they have and gain back the muscle they’ve already lost.

To build muscle in your postmenopausal years, you must add weight training and/or resistance exercises to your natural weight loss plan and workout routine. Resistance training alone has been shown to have positive effects on body composition. But lifting weights is not your only option; these benefits may be enhanced by the addition of a vibration stimulus.

Whole Body Vibration improves muscle strength the same way as regular exercise does, but in a shortened amount of time. Vibrations lengthen and shorten the fibers the number of times per second that you have the frequency of the machine set at. This builds muscle much more efficiently than conventional exercise. Increased muscle contractions improve muscle strength, tone and endurance. Muscular and neurological coordination is also improved. The effect on muscles is similar to that of other powered exercise devices, such as treadmills and bicycles, but in a condensed amount of time.

Whole Body Vibration can do wonders for strength, flexibility, balance, energy levels, and overall well-being.

Whole Body Vibration is becoming more widely used in Gyms, Health Clubs and by Health Professionals. Many people are choosing to go specifically to Gyms and Health Clubs where WBV equipment is offered because of its unique benefits and time-efficiency.

Whole Body Vibration training has been proven to be as effective as resistance training at a gym, it is also a safe and effective way to stimulate and strengthen your muscles. WBV also allows an easy and convenient way to cool down after even the most extreme exertion, greatly improving oxygenation and circulation, targeting those body parts that need it most. You can be confident that a WBV exercise or therapy regime will compliment any kind of exercise, weight training or cardio work you are already doing. A vibration machine basically consists of a vibrating platform over which a person performs static or dynamic movements such as standing, sitting, kneeling or other exercises. Besides this, various exercises such as crunches, lunges, squats, and push-ups can be done on this machine. You can also passively sit on the machine or rest your feet over it comfortably to relax and massage.

Here are just a few of the healthy benefits of combining workouts with WBV:

Compliments conventional training. One 10 minute whole vibration workout delivers the equivalent of 1 hour of weight training.

Speeds recovery from fatigue. Increases blood flow and oxygen to the muscles, improving muscle health.

Improves explosive strength. Whole body vibration builds muscle mass 1 ½ to 2 times faster than conventional weight workouts. Conventional exercise engages around 45% of muscle fibers where as whole body vibration engages approximately 97% of muscle fibers.

Increases flexibility as you get strong. Improves your flexibility, range of motion, balance, and mobility. The vibration forces your muscles to maintain balance, strengthening and lengthening muscles while increasing flexibility in muscles, joints, and ligaments.

Burns Fat. Supports lean muscle mass: The rapid vibrations help maintain and build lean muscle mass. In any weight loss program, there is a risk of losing valuable lean muscle mass. Boosting lean muscle mass means your body burns more calories throughout the entire day, not just during the workout. The more calories you burn, the higher the potential is for dramatic weight loss.
From the inside out gentle vibrations move into and through our body and all bodily systems as an efficient, effective and safe way to stimulate muscles and bone cells, burn fat (to lose weight), plus restore neuromuscular balance. Whole Body Vibration is a great addition to your workout at any Health Club or Gym. Look for it, and ask for it!

Today with everyone being on the go and rushing to and from everything, health has become a serious issue for Americans. It is too easy to let another meal or day slip by and think we will start next time or tomorrow. It really isn’t that difficult to achieve good health and maintain it, we just have to put in a little effort. Some of the most important components to healthy living are:

Nutrition

Rest

Strength Training

Cardio

Flexibility

Whole Body Vibration is great because it helps to take care of the exercise components. By using Whole Body Vibration only 10 minutes a day, you’ve already completed half of these components. It makes exercising so much easier and fun. You’ll then have time to focus on the other components and be motivated to adequately complete them. The philosophy itself is quite simple and can be made even simpler by using WBV. Our bodies were designed to move and when we don’t move enough are bodies stop functioning right and we gain excess weight, which can eventually result in our becoming ill. Exercising excessively causes its own problems. Balance is the key here – we don’t want to over-do it or under-do it. 10 minutes a day is something everyone can make time for.

By practicing these key components you will experience abundant joy, gratitude, contentment, purposefulness. The importance of a healthy lifestyle should be measured by the incredible sense of well-being and joy that comes from feeling energetic, joyful and radiant.

Cellulite is sometimes referred to as a cottage cheese or orange peel appearance to the skin. This can happen to anyone at any age, regardless of whether you are skinny or overweight. Cellulite is fat accumulation under the skin. Cellulite is an inflammation of the subcutaneous connective tissue that expands laterally. The irregular skin surface of cellulite is the result of thickened fat cells, moisture, and substances. Other possible reasons for cellulite are poor blood circulation, alcohol, refined sugars, caffeine, and sometimes even genetics.

Research has shown that Whole Body Vibration can help improve skin by reducing cellulite. WBV causes increased local circulation to targeted areas resulting in a decrease of fat, stronger skin and connective tissue. By using WBV regularly muscle mass will increase, and fat burning increases helping to keep cellulite away.

A study was completed to determine if WBV was beneficial in treating cellulite. For this study, 24 women participated in vibration training for 24 weeks, and 31 women participated in vibration training with cardio exercise. After 24 weeks the results were amazing! The vibration training group showed a decrease of 25.68% in cellulite. The vibration training combined with cardio provided a decrease of 32.30% in cellulite.

To reduce cellulite, it’s important to increase muscle tone and replace fat stores with lean muscle. Whole Body Vibration is a safe, fast solution in fighting cellulite. To help maintain results it is important to eat a healthy diet and reduce intake of alcohol, refined sugars, and caffeine.

If you’ve been battling cellulite, try adding Whole Body Vibration to your workout and get amazing results….fast!

A study was completed to determine the effect of whole body vibration on oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide production among overweight and obese women.

For this study measurements of ventilation of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and heart rate were taken using a portable gas-analysis system on 20 adult overweight women. Exercises were performed on a vibration platform with a frequency of 35 Hz and with amplitude of 4 mm. Two dynamic exercises (squatting and calf raises) and one static exercise (standing) were performed during 3 minutes with and without vibration in a random order, with 10 minutes rest between exercises.

As a result, the ventilation of oxygen and carbon dioxide were consistently, significantly higher in the exercises with vibration compared with the exercises without vibration.

This study shows that the addition of whole body vibration to both static and dynamic exercises appears to significantly increase oxygen uptake in overweight and obese women.

You can feel the difference almost immediately. For this study the exercise time was very short! Whole Body Vibration is a great way to get started exercising and get moving. The fast results are very motivating!

It seems as though everyone is trying to either get in or stay in shape. Why not, it’s a new year! Unfortunately, the fast paced lifestyle most of us live leaves very little time to go to the gym. There are many options to consider when deciding to begin an exercise program. It needs to be convenient enough for you to stick with so you are not able use the excuse of not having enough time.

Consider purchasing fitness equipment for your home. You will definitely have the convenience of using it when the time is right for you. You may even want to begin with a workout video. If you are serious about your physical fitness, consider buying a couple pieces of home exercise equipment.

You will have to determine which type of fitness equipment is best for you. Always look for equipment that will be comfortable to use and fun. Once you have decided, know your budget and space constraints. Don’t spend a lot on something you’re not going to use on a regular basis.

Before buying, consider few of the following:

Determine the type of equipment that will help you meet your fitness goals.

Measure the space that you have available for equipment.

Research nearby places to purchase equipment. Inquire about the features that distinguish different price points, discounts and brands. Ask questions!

Check online for different equipment and better prices.

What should be your first piece of Fitness Equipment?

The most talked about and highly praised today is Whole body Vibration (WBV). It is widely researched and scientifically proven that working out on WBV platforms increases bone density and muscle strength. WBV does it faster than any other weight resistance exercise regimes. In order to have the best results with a WBV unit, you should incorporate it into your exercise program.

Start slowly with the vibration setting at the lowest level. Positions on the platform can be done statically or dynamically. Starting statically will be a low-level workout and will burn a nominal set of calories. But it can be increased to a more challenging aerobic workout by performing exercises dynamically.

As you get used to your WBV machine, you can begin targeting different muscle groups of the body as variety of exercises can be performed on it. You can work your entire body to improve strength, tone, and muscle conditioning.

You can achieve the physiological benefits of a 1 hour workout in only 10 minutes using Whole Body Vibration. By having a WBV unit in your home you will have the convenience and be able to get great results in only 10 minutes a day!

This will keep you motivated and help you stay on track for exercising regularly.

Want to get started on your way to better health, but not quite sure where to begin? Making sure you are eating a balanced diet is the first and most important step. But if you want to kick-start a fitness routine, try Whole Body Vibration. WBV is the perfect low impact workout for the baby boomer or not-so athletic person who is interested in getting started and wants to feel better quickly.

A recent article on Uknewsx.com talks about how whole body vibration machines are great for users at all levels of fitness. Users can perform static or dynamic movements that involve standing, sitting, kneeling, or other exercises.

Adding Whole Body Vibration to a workout routine will help burn fat. Research has shown WBV to:

Support lean muscle mass

Boost HGH

Lower the stress hormone, Cortisol

Improve blood oxygenation and circulation

Boost Lymphatic health

WBV machines are becoming more and more affordable for the home, making it even easier to find time to work out. A recommended workout with a WBV machine is only 10 minutes. With such a short workout time plus the comforts of home, there should be no excuse not to work out.

Here are ten other great ideas of all-natural vegan foods designed to complement your workout routine and get you the results you have always been looking for:

1. Avocados: An easy to digest fat, that is filling and high in vitamin e. If you’re trying to cut down on fat, try using it as a salad dressing instead of oil. It will make the salad more filling and satisfying. Here is what Tony Kay has to say about avocados: “Providing all of the 18 amino acids, avocados are bursting with nutrients, including vitamins A, C, E, H and B complex. Avocados are exceptional sources of vitamin K, potassium and essential fatty acids and users report softer skin, lustrous hair and hormonal balance.”

2. Camu Camu berry powder or lemons OR bell peppers: All great sources of vitamin C that your muscles really need after a workout.

3. Hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and/or almonds or their butters: For protein, healthy fats, and calories. Try to eat these with greens to help digestion.

4. Bee Pollen: A great source of protein and amino acids as well as antioxidants. It’s known as one of nature’s perfect foods! (not technically vegan but sustainable and organic bee products are okay with most raw vegans)

5. Fermented foods: Saurkraut or Rejuvelac for instance (or probiotics in the morning). Kombucha too! Great for digestion and assimilation of all this nutrition and protein.

6. Digestive enzymes: Also will help you absorb all that protein your body might not be used to.

7. Raw oat groats: Raw oat groats have choline in them. Peter Ragnar talks about this as a very important part of weight training (Peter Ragnar can now leg press over 2,000 lbs!!!)

8. High-potassium foods: Bananas or raisins are great sources. Dulse too.

9. A green superfood power such as Vitamineral Green or Revitaphi to add to smoothies: Added nutrition and minerals.

10. Green algae superfoods such as spirulina, blue-green algae, and/or chlorella: Easy to assimilate protein and chlorophyll sources. Good for your brain too and detoxification too!
