One of the excuses people use most for not exercising is that they are too busy. This time crunch makes Whole Body Vibration an excellent choice. You can receive the physiological benefits of a 1 hour workout in 10 minutes using Whole Body Vibration.
The effectiveness of any exercise program depends on the frequency, intensity, and the consistency of the workouts and Whole Body Vibration is no different. You will want to start slowly and at a low intensity. It’s always good to start with a 1 minute warm up just standing statically on the platform. This increases circulation and initiates your lymphatic system.
Beginner Exercises:
- Legs- Start with squats, then bend deeper to work the muscles more.
- Hips & Glutes- Stand on one leg with knee slightly bent, switch legs.
- Abdominal- Sit on the platform in the sit up position and just hold the position.
- Upper Body- Most machines have straps attached to the vibrating platform. Hold the straps tight and let the vibrations travel through your arms. As you advance you can place your hands on the platform and do pushups.
These are just a few beginner exercises that can be done on a Whole Body Vibration platform. As you progress you can increase the HZ on the machine, extend the time in each position, reduce rest time between positions, increase the number of sets, and perform positions dynamically. It can be as challenging as you make it.
Remember; always consult your physician before beginning any workout program and to drink lots of fluids during and after your workout.
There are no more excuses not to workout, especially when the workout can be done in just 10 minutes a day with Whole Body Vibration!
